Services Offered by Maneesha:
Body Intelligence Therapy
The upbringing of our society has cut us off from the intelligence and natural healing power within our bodies. Simply moving into the body brings us in touch with our truth – the truth of our feelings, and when acknowledged and released, the truth of our soul and its’ beauty.
In this session you receive a relaxing massage, and a loving exploration of what the body is saying to you through its tensions. This releases held emotions, gives insight into new possibilities, and invites positive feelings to emerge and expand. You may choose to address a particular issue, or simply open to whatever is revealed during the session. We end with a deeply relaxing cranio-sacral stillness hold, letting you rest and integrate the new energy into your body, mind and heart.
Cranial Sacral Therapy
Cranial Sacral Therapy is a light-touch approach that can create significant improvements in your life. It releases tensions deep in the body to relieve physical and emotional pain and improve whole-body health and performance.
Also known as Craniosacral, Cranial Sacral Therapy is a gentle and non-invasive form of bodywork that works to restore harmony to the central nervous system. Using gentle manipulations of the bones of the head, spinal column and sacrum, the practitioner skillfully releases restrictions and compression to reduce or eliminate stress and pain.
Cranial Sacral Therapy seeks to restore the natural position of the bones. It helps reduce stress caused by chronic injuries and it can provide relief from migraine headaches, neck and back pain, temporomandibular joint disorder (the inflammation of the joint that connects the lower jaw to the skull) and more.
Hypnotherapy helps us access the subconscious and unconscious aspects of your mind, where we can do powerful work to locate and release erroneous or limiting beliefs, negative habits and emotions, that are not in alignment with your conscious goals and that no longer serve you. The overall goal of hypnotherapy is to get all three of your minds working together in a high powered partnership.

MASSAGE THERAPY—DEEP TISSUE OR SWEDISH
Research and clinical studies prove that massage therapy’s advantages include much more than just relaxation. The medicinal benefits of therapeutic massage can have a positive, lasting impact on your overall health and lifestyle. It can rid your body of every day stress, reduce muscle pain and tension, help alleviate the discomfort of certain ailments, and help restore balance to your body and mind. The Deep Tissue massage uses varying degrees of pressure to release chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscles, tendons and fascia. The Swedish massage involves a technique using light strokes to calm the nervous system, thus reducing anxiety and tension in the body. Deep Tissue or Swedish massages can be done as an individual session or combined in one session if needed or requested.
Myofascial/ Neuromuscular Release
Myofascial work releases restrictions in the fascia, or sheets of connective tissue which hold the muscles in place. It’s long, slow strokes, and restoring stretches are not painful, feel very good, and leave you feeling more loose, open, expanded, and able to move and breathe better.
Neuromuscular Therapy is a form of advanced deep tissue work, which releases holding patterns that keep us in discomfort from muscles, fascia, and connective tissue. It increases range of motion and restores the body to it’s loose and natural state. It involves long myofascial strokes and techniques like trigger point release.
Maneesha combines both, customizing the session to what you need to address pain, discomfort, or injuries.
Reflexology is a system of massage based on the theory that there are reflex points on the hands, feet, ears and head linked to every part of the body and used to relieve tension, pain and heal illness. As pressure is placed on certain areas, the corresponding organ or tissue reacts benefitting the person’s health. If you are uncomfortable with full-body massage therapy, Reflexology is a wonderful alternative.
Foot Reflexology is an ancient healing art, practiced by applying specific pressure to the reflex points in the feet. Modern research shows that this form of pressure interrupts stress in the body, and starts the relaxation response of the parasympathetic nervous system. There are approximately 7,200 nerve endings in each foot that connect to every organ, gland, and body part.
According to the Mayo Clinic Website: “Several studies funded by the National Cancer Institute and the National Institutes of Health indicate that reflexology may reduce pain and psychological symptoms, such as anxiety and depression, and enhance relaxation and sleep. Studies also show that reflexology may have benefits in palliative care of people with cancer.”
The overall benefits of Reflexology include relaxation, improved lymphatic flow and circulation, detoxification, restored balance in the body, and can activate the body’s own healing potential. It has also been used to alleviate stress, treat chronic pain, and symptoms of diabetes, asthma and cancer. Clients typically feel relaxed after a session, and should take some time afterwards before engaging in any strenuous activity.
